The Custom 74 features a #5 size Pilot nib—the smallest in their Custom pen lineup—with a 14k gold construction that delivers a responsive, refined writing experience. The nib offers pleasant feedback with fine lines, while medium and broad options provide smooth, consistent ink flow suited to different writing preferences.

You'll get a consistent ink line with these nibs, and the  F in particular is finer than most other pens, with some pleasant feedback if you enjoy that. If you prefer a smooth writing experience go for the medium nib.

The soft nib options offer more flexibility in the nib, giving a bouncier writing feel with greater line variation achievable.

With the cap insert, the nib stays wet and ready to go longer than your average fountain pen. It comes with a Pilot CON-40 converter. However, they can also accept the CON-70 converter or Pilot/Namiki ink cartridges.
